Upcoming events at Lymewood Farm

Live music every last Friday of the month - Come and join our popular duo the City Gents from 9 - 11pm. They perform songs on request from the 60s, 70s and 80s, with any tune you want in-between - brilliant fun and all for free!! They are proving to be a big hit with our customers celebrating a birthday or other special occasion.

Sunday is a traditional family roast dinner day - and we deliver the goods. The trouble is we have become so popular that we have had to open earlier. We have decided to open our carvery and main menu offering from 11am. Yes, that's right, 11am right through to 9pm. Getting to us early ensures you have more of the day for that relaxing walk or drive to your favourite place. Arriving early also ensures you waste no time at all getting a carvery that has become one of the north's most popular choices.

Tuesday - It must be our quiz night! We have a reputation for hosting the biggest and best fun pub quiz in the north, regularly attracting around 200 players on the night each and every week. It's so much fun that seats are hard to come by and regulars arrive at 7pm to have a meal before the fun starts at 9pm. I even heard one of my customers telling another that it's really great and you don't have to be clever to win!! Now that's what I call a fun quiz.

Usually over 10 people win my super prizes every week. Recent prizes have included cases of Tetley Smooth and Carlsberg lager. It's not just about being a brain box, it's about being lucky and joining in the fun. Winning teams are handicapped, and the main prize is rarely won by the team with the highest score.

We offer 9 rounds of 10 questions, 3 rounds are music based and aimed at all age groups, 1 round is 10 items you have to identify, then there is feel what's in the box, and of course our sniff the box round. And the things we get up to between each round realy gets the crowd going. Including Bully's prize darts board. The girls seem to win the most, from wine to a speedboat. Why is it always a speedboat? Play your cards right is also a great giggle. And the snowball is contained in our last gasp cask: have your name picked out and pick from a bag of 18 keys to find the key which will send you on a holiday to Warrington for a day's shopping at Poundland! Get down to us for a great night out for just a £1. The night is run on a loss basis to us, it's your smiles that are the reward we cherish and look forward to.

Why not try some of our cask ale? Our local brewery, Moorhouse's, supply us with some great names like Blond Witch, Black Cat, Witches Brew. Many are award winning beers, and all have been well received by our customers.

Our full menu is available all day every day from 12pm - 9.30pm, Sunday from 11am. Our famous carvery is available all day on Sunday 11am - 9pm and on all other days from 12-2pm and 5pm-8pm. Bank holidays are as Sunday times. If the sun pops out you will be able to enjoy a carvery meal on the outside patio area - fingers crossed everybody.

Prepare to be dazzled by our pudding menu! Featuring the largest selection of home made desserts around. If that still isn't enough there is also the opportunity for you to invent your own dessert! We aim to create a new dessert every fortnight and are completely open to suggestions from you about your dream sweet. We will hand-make - with great love and attention - our favourite suggestions and name them after their creator. Childrens' Parties - Due to the popularity of the business we will be unable to host childrens' parties for the forseeable future.
